An excerpt from an old Mary Mary song says, “I feel so blessed, ’cause YOU gave me YOUR best. YOUR love is nothing less than incredible!” What an observation! As Mary Mary reflected upon GOD’S presence and provision, they couldn’t help describing HIS love as incredible. David arrives at the same conclusion in the text cited above. When you consider how good GOD is to us, it’s hard to think otherwise.
Consider this: before there were five love languages, GOD displayed them. Observe the following examples …
- HE gives words of affirmation: “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11, New Living Translation).
- HE spends quality time with us: Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends (Revelation 3:20, New Living Translation).
- HE gives gifts: For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16, New Living Translation).
I’m sure you can think of other examples, but the main point is clear – GOD’s love is incredible. Make sure you thank HIM for HIS unfailing love toward you.
