Say thank you

I talked to one of my employees last week, and he raved about his shifts this semester.  He was very appreciative for the employees I assigned to his shifts, for they often went above and beyond the call of duty.  As I listened to his heartfelt sentiments, I encouraged him to thank them for their efforts.  He did, and they received his gratitude joyfully.  My employee understood how to say thank you.

Deborah and Barak, the co-stars in today’s text, also majored in thanksgiving.  Before today’s text, GOD gave the Israelites victory over King Jabin, after 20 years of oppression.  I like Deborah and Barak because they didn’t waste time popping champagne bottles or planning extravagant parties after the victory.  Instead, they immediately sang praises to GOD.  It’s evident: praise is in order when great things happen!

I’ll conclude this email by following my own advice.  This week, the Daily Recharge Mailing List welcomed its 100th member – praise GOD!  I’d also like to thank each of you for spreading the word to co-workers, family, and friends.  Thanks for your assistance in the success of this ministry.

Have a blessed weekend …
