One of the presidential campaign slogans is “Yes we can!” The heart of the slogan is that Americans have the power to change America. Evidently, people believe this message, for the voter response has been incredible. People are so excited to vote, that news broadcasts have advised viewers to expect delays at the polls!
What if people were this excited about evangelism? Some people think their efforts will be futile, but today’s text proves otherwise. The woman who learned about JESUS’ “water” shared the good news with her community, and the response was incredible! She didn’t have a deep or eloquent message; she simply said, “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did!” Later in the chapter John notes, “Many Samaritans from the village believed in Jesus because the woman had said, “He told me everything I ever did!”
You might not think you can spread the Gospel, but yes YOU can! With a little excitement and honesty, you can lay the seed plot for a great harvest. Put your name on the soul winners ballot, and watch GOD work through you!
