I receive numerous offers in the mail – register for this event, subscribe to this magazine, try this product, etc. The most attractive offers are the invitations to VIP (very important person) status. VIPs often enjoy uncommon favor. Some of their perks include choice seating at events, low interest rates on credit cards and loans, and private sales with additional discounts.
The perks listed above are exciting, but they can’t compare with the benefits GOD’S VIPs receive! During a conversation with King Solomon, GOD revealed an awesome benefit exclusively available to HIS people. GOD informed King Solomon that HIS people could reverse the ill effects in their lives through prayer (see 2 Chronicles 7:13-14). In other words, GOD is especially attentive to those who have yielded to HIM. No wonder James later wrote, “… The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (James 5:16, New Living Translation).
Christians have it so good that GOD will help us, even when we don’t know what to pray (see Romans 8:26). I don’t know about you, but I need GOD to hear and answer my prayers. If that’s your confession, then make sure you’re on HIS team.
