Most people have an idea of how their friends or loved ones feel about them. But, if someone interviewed a person who “rubs you the wrong way,” what would he or she say about you? It depends on how you have treated him or her. So, think about it for a moment. What would the person who’s not “your cup of tea” say?
It would be awesome if your enemies had the same response as your friends and loved ones. That was the case for David. Saul was definitely his enemy, but notice his assessment of David, “You are a better man than I am, for you have repaid me good for evil” (1 Samuel 24:17, NLT). He didn’t label him with any negative adjectives … impressive, or should I say, Christian.
We are the light of the world, even for those we don’t necessarily click with. My prayer for you is that your character will be consistent, regardless of the person who sees it. Let God use you to win your enemies to Him!
Thought to Consider:
Would my enemies say I remind them of Christ?
